The lights are up, the Christmas tree is trimmed, and we’re ready for another magical season at Lone Star Lights! As we prepare to welcome families and friends, I’m excited to share the fresh additions we’ve made for 2024 and how they enhance this beloved tradition while staying true to our mission at Carolina Creek.
A Mission of Connection & Joy
At its core, Lone Star Lights is about inviting people to experience the love of Jesus through a magical, immersive environment. Every detail, from the light displays to guest interactions, is designed to foster moments of connection—with each other, the spirit of Christmas, and the message of love.
Expanding the Experience: New Zones & Attractions
This year, we’ve taken the experience to new heights—literally! Here’s what you can expect:
- 100-Foot-Long Entry Tunnel: As soon as you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by a spectacular corridor of sparkling lights, setting the stage for the magic to come.
- Yuletide Square: Our newest zone brings charm and interactivity to the heart of the park. It features craft shops like Timber & Twine and Noel’s Leatherworks, where guests can create personalized holiday keepsakes, from ornaments to leather goods.
- Glacier Climb & Arctic Swing: In the Arctic Adventures area, guests can now scale an ice-themed climbing wall or soar 25 feet on a thrilling giant swing—offering breathtaking views of Candy Cane Lane below.
- Luminous Lilies in Fractal Forest: With over 50 illuminated lily pads that respond to footsteps, this interactive feature brings a playful sense of wonder to one of our most immersive zones.
Reimagining Familiar Spaces
We’ve also refreshed some of our favorite areas:
- Reason for the Season has moved to a new location, featuring the Vertical Cathedra, a breathtaking light display, and Prayer Arbors for moments of reflection and gratitude.
- Dinner Theatre: This year’s production, Gift of the Magi, brings a contemporary twist to the classic tale, set against the backdrop of the 2008 financial crisis. Guests can enjoy a festive menu while being captivated by this original story of love and sacrifice.
Shifting the Season Schedule
With Thanksgiving falling later this year, we’ve adjusted our schedule to start with a full week of events before and after Thanksgiving, transitioning to weekends only in December. This change accommodates family and school schedules, ensuring more opportunities for everyone to join in the holiday magic.
Making Memories That Last
Ultimately, our goal remains the same: to create a place where families and friends can make lasting memories. From the moment you enter the gates to the final goodbyes, we want each guest to feel loved and welcomed. It’s an honor to serve our community and share the true reason for the season through this special event.
I can’t wait to see the joy on your faces this year. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been coming since the beginning, there’s always something new to discover. See you at Lone Star Lights 2024, running from November 22 to December 22!
